The First National Key R & D Plan Of Titanium Alloy Oil And Gas Pipes Was Settled in Shaanxi

The reporter learned from the Shaanxi Provincial Department of science and technology on January 19 that the project of "R & D and application of high-performance titanium alloy pipes for harsh environment and energy well drilling" with Feng Chun as the general director of the Engineering Materials Research Institute of CNPC, a central enterprise of Shaanxi Province, has recently been approved as the key special project of "advanced structure and composite materials" in the national key R & D plan in 2021.

As the first national key research and development plan key special project related to titanium alloy pipe in the field of oil and gas drilling and production in China. Focusing on the major needs of national energy drilling and production projects for titanium alloy pipes, the project carries out work from three aspects: basic research, common key technologies and application demonstration, develops complete sets of manufacturing technologies for high-performance titanium alloy drill pipes and oil jacketed pipes, and overcomes key technical problems such as manufacturing and connection of special threaded joints, applicability evaluation and application of pipes, Establish a complete application evaluation system and relevant standards, realize industrialized and stable production and engineering demonstration application, lay a foundation for the comprehensive application of domestic high-performance titanium alloy drilling and production pipes in major strategic projects such as deep oil and gas and combustible ice in China, and provide technical support for realizing the lightweight of pipe string and building a strategic replacement area for onshore ultra deep oil and gas exploration.

The total fund of the project is 91.3 million yuan, and the central financial fund is 23 million yuan. The implementation period is four years. Led by the Engineering Materials Research Institute of CNPC, it cooperates with 9 domestic advantageous units such as Baoji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd., Northwest Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, Tianjin Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Central South University to carry out whole chain R & D and collaborative innovation under the framework of "production learning research inspection use".

Feng Chun, special director of CNPC Engineering Materials Research Institute, said that the implementation of the project will break through China's main technical bottlenecks in the design, manufacturing, testing, evaluation and application of high-performance titanium alloy pipes for energy well drilling in harsh environment, form a complete whole industry chain technology system, and improve the processing technology level of China's titanium industry and the drilling and production capacity of the energy industry, Meet major national strategic needs.
