Recently, in collaboration with Beijing Steel Research Institute, Chongqing University, Northeastern University and other scientific research institutions, Pangang developed a titanium alloyed new wear-resistant steel, forming a titanium alloyed wear-resistant steel green low-cost preparation technology, with low-cost "converter - continuous casting - rolling" instead of the existing "electric furnace - die casting - forging "It opens up a new scene of titanium resource application.Compared with the "electric furnace-mold casting" process, the titanium alloyed wear-resistant steel produced by Pangang using the "converter-continuous casting" process has the advantages of high production efficiency, high material formation rate, low production cost and wide range of product use.


  Compared with traditional wear-resistant steel, titanium alloyed wear-resistant steel does not require heat treatment, has a simple production process, and has both wear resistance and toughness.


  The technology researched in the project can also be applied in the production of various types of high titanium steel, which provides an important process and technology platform for Pangang to further develop high performance and low cost titanium-containing high-tech material products and realize low cost, high efficiency and large-scale preparation and application, and provides a strong technical support to promote the deep extension and sustainable development of the high value of the vanadium and titanium industry chain in Panxi and improve the overall level of high titanium steel production and the self-sufficiency of high-end products in China.   At present, PanSteel is the first one in China to successfully realize the application of "converter-slab continuous casting-hot rolling" titanium alloyed wear-resistant steel pouring technology, which fills the gap of "converter-slab continuous casting" technology for producing high titanium steel in China. At the same time, in the production line of wear-resistant steel, the traditional "micro-alloying + heat treatment" process line was not adopted, and TiC particles were creatively used to enhance wear resistance and improve toughness.
